Waco Friends of the Climate June Meeting

Waco Friends of the Climate will meet at the South Waco Public Library (2737 S. 18th St.) at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, June 28th.

We will assemble at 6:00 PM in the library’s large meeting room for our first post-pandemic meeting, strengthening the climate movement in Waco, and enjoying the fellowship of other activists.

We will show the outstanding documentary "Life at 50 C (122F): As the World Get Hotter, Survival Gets Harder." This BBC production tells the real- life story of people impacted by climate crisis heatwaves, from Nigeria to Iraq to Australia. Fascinating tales of heat wave loss and damage, and the human will to survive. The runtime is 59 minutes. (some scenes may be too intense for small children).

This will be an important business meeting, including review of recent projects, upcoming projects, and a call for volunteers. Vegan refreshments will be provided.
