Earth Day Action
The
Waco Friends of Peace/Climate, in observation of Earth Day, will
distribute free reusable grocery bags from 9 am to 1 pm, Saturday, April 23, at
the Downtown Farmers' Market. The reusable bags protect the
environment, since single-use plastic grocery bags produce local litter,
contaminate the oceans, cause injury to animals, contribute to climate change,
are seldom recycled, and take 1000s of year to degrade.
