The film for October will be Inequality for All, a documentary directed by Jacob Kornbluth that features former labor secretary Robert Reich.  Reich explores the widening income gap between the wealthy and the rest of us in the United States, and how this affects both our economy and our democracy.

Inequality for All is very informative and highly entertaining as well.  The film won a U.S. Documentary Special Jury Award for Achievement in Filmmaking at the 2013 Sundance film festival.

New York City Climate March

Waco Friends of Peace was represented by six people at the great climate march in New York City on Sunday, September 21.  We marched along with up to 400,000 people!  It was a wonderful experience, and we hope that the march helped to raise the consciousness of the country regarding climate change.

Thursday, September 11
Poppa Rollo's Pizza
West Bank Meeting Room
703 N. Valley Mills Dr.
Waco
6 PM Pizza & Business
6:30 Film & Discussion
Runtime: 60 Minutes

DISRUPTION is our cutting edge film for the month, just released by 350.org, the premier climate change organization and primary force behind the People's Climate March.

The documentary weaves political intrigue, solid climate science, and an insider's view of the largest climate mobilization in history.  We will hear from familiar experts such as Bill McKibben and Naomi Klein, as well as new voices on global warming.

This film will inform us all and inspire those of us attending the March in NYC or the Solidarity Rally in Waco on September 13.
