The release of this film at the same time the
Wikileaks Afghanistan Papers exploded on the
scene must be more than a coincidence. Indeed,
the Wikileaks documents have been called The
Pentagon Papers 2.0. This story of the Pentagon Papers is a fascinating, highly entertaining
film, with details many of us may not know. The courage of Daniel Ellsberg is an inspiration
to the peace movement. And we recall how the government tried to block the publication, just
as the government is attempting now with the Wikileaks documents. Thus you will not want
to miss this month's important film and meeting.
Your presence is also requested as we remember devoted peace activist Sammie, known to
many of us in Waco. Bring your ideas of where the quiet peace movement should go now. Certainly its easy to be discouraged, but we can never give up. One of our members from Hillsboro has done some great work for peace, and we hope will relate this at the meeting as well. Please help the anti-war community grow.
