Crawford protest vigil this weekend Feb. 4-5

Come to Crawford for a weekend action. Stay for a few hours or overnight The weather's fine and we have a place saved for you on the side of Prairie Chapel Road.

Please spread the word about this event throughout Texas (and beyond). We need a good turnout to make sure George Bush knows he cannot escape reality by retreating to Crawford for a weekend in February -- or any other time.

Camping and RV hookups available in Tonkawa Falls RV Park, Weston Inn (McGregor), Lake Waco, Mother Neff State Park and other nearby facilities.

Weekend at Bush ranch to include protests

Opponents of the US occupation of Iraq, the gutting of safety net programs, and other policies conceived and enacted by its allies in the legislature in Washington, will stage a nonviolent protest this weekend during the President's visit to his Crawford ranch.

The vigil will take place at the intersection of Prairie Chapel Road and Mattlage Road, at the first checkpoint, starting Saturday morning at about 9 AM. Since parking is prohibited in the area, participants should gather at the Crawford Peace House starting at 8:30 AM; from there they will be shuttled to and from the vigil site throughout the day.
